Andy Dao is Head of Technology Operations and Innovations at Akila, leading the company’s R&D Center in Hanoi, Vietnam. He drives a team of over 20 AI and digital twin specialists at the forefront of transforming the built environment. Under his leadership, the center develops cutting-edge applications in Agentic AI, Digital Twin models, and real-time simulations to optimize building performance, from airflow and lighting to district-scale energy efficiency.
Andy is also instrumental in advancing Akila’s strategic partnerships with global technology leaders, including NVIDIA, integrating platforms such as OpenUSD, Omniverse, VSS into Akila’s digital twin solutions. These efforts position Vietnam as a key contributor to high-impact AI research and deployment in the built environment. Before joining Akila, Andy served as Chief Technology Officer at Giaohangtietkiem (GHTK), one of Vietnam’s largest logistics companies, where he scaled complex technology systems to support nationwide operations. Being well-versed in technology operations and passionate about mentoring high-performing teams, Andy continues to push the boundaries of AI-driven, sustainable building innovation.
