Mr. Erik Jonsson is a seasoned entrepreneur and leader with extensive experience in operations, fundraising and scaling in both European and Asian markets. He has co-founded several ventures such as Zalora, Adayroi and Top Mot and served as Director and Board Member of various leading organisations, including Techcombank, BOO and Wareflex.
Erik was born in Sweden but studied Investment & Financial Risk Management in London, United Kingdom, and worked in London’s financial district with investment bank BNP Paribas and global fund manager Macquarie Capital before permanently moving to Vietnam in 2011. Erik speaks six languages, including Swedish, English and Vietnamese.
Erik was recognized as one of Sweden's 101 Super Talents in 2016 by their leading financial publication, Dagens Industri. He also made his mark as the first western Shark on Shark Tank Vietnam, participating in Seasons 5 and 6.
Erik is currently a Partner at Antler, recognized by Tech In Asia as Vietnam’s most active pre-seed and seed investor. Since its inception in 2021, Antler has made 50 investments in Vietnamese startups to date and their unique approach focuses on backing talented founders at the inception stage, even before they have a product or a fully-launched business and supporting their scalability from day zero. Through mentorship, connection and funding, combined with a strong foundation to support local and international founders, Erik and his team ensure the founders they back have the resources needed to succeed on a worldwide stage.
